Everyone is getting into not only wanting to have a safe environment for our mother earth but to have the environment safe for them as well. We want the products we use to be non toxic and non threatening to the human health of our loved ones and ourselves. The products we use affect every aspect of our lives and the lives of our children so we must be sure that it is truely a safe product to use. Before buying a product that says it is eco-friendly do a study on that product from a consumer guide for environment safe products. This should tell what the product is made from and where it is made. As a consumer you will want to be environmently aware about the authenticity of the broduct’s eco-friendly claim.

Some children are very glad school is out and believe it or not others do like school being out for the summer.  Children get bored easy and they can get into trouble if their hands are not kept busy. 

Think of things they can do around the house that is fun.  Children like art and making things.  Instead of throwing away the newspapers help the children make a paper mache of the world,  Sponge Bob or what ever they can come up with.  Take empty pop can and make a wind chime.  You can even find scraps around the house and start making those Christmas ornaments for the Christmas tree early.  They can make items to put on the table at your 4th of July party.  Let the children plant their own garden. Children love to get their hands dirty.

I was driving to a soccer game last night, just one day after Earth Day and what I saw really upset me.  I saw a big stream of  black smoke coming up the highway towards me. It was a pick-up truck with a huge trail of black smoke streaming out of its tail pipe. This giant bellow of black smoke reminds me of when people used to burn tires.

After this truck drove past me it only took a minute and my airway felt as if it was closing in on me and my chest became tight. As the horrible smell fell on me I began to cough continously. I was so angry after I wanted to call 911 to report this heinous crime but I did not. I just went on to the soccer game and enjoyed it thinking we people need educated on the fact we are hurting the air that we and others breathe.
